Donna's Design Crushes: Grind

Sometimes places I visit really knock the socks off me in terms of the design. And I feel it my duty to try and deconstruct the reasons why it constitutes good design as well as why it resonates with me on a personal level. After all I think these things go hand in hand when it comes to interior design and restaurants and bars are such great places for inspiration. I’m kicking off with a cool local place that oozes style and colour!

Why I'm still blogging after two years?

Yes two years on I am still blogging as Skirting Boards & Chandeliers which has also evolved into a thriving business so I thought it a good idea to take stock and reflect on my favourite moments of the last 12 months and where I’m heading in the next few months. Finding Home Inspiration in London Art Galleries

I find Art Galleries are one of the best places to get interiors inspiration. Colour and texture combinations can give great ideas as well as how busts are placed in front of colourful walls or the rooms themselves can inspire us. The Tate Britain is one of my favourite places in London and on a recent visit I got so many ideas for interior design.
